Here are the people in charge that make TSR what it is:
Carleton Whaley – Editor in Chief, Co-founder
A recent graduate of the University of Connecticut, Carleton Whaley is the Co-Founder and Editor in Chief of The Slag Review. His fiction and nonfiction have been published in the Long River Review, UConn’s award-winning literary magazine, and his fiction is forthcoming in Paper Darts.
A coffee addict, writer, and part-time hobbit, Carleton Whaley enjoys a pipeful of tobacco, a low backed armchair, and a healthy sense of danger.

Thomas Maynard – Resident Blacksmith, Co-founder
As The Slag Review’s Resident Blacksmith, Thomas Maynard is an avid fan of things that are very warm. By day, he repairs and installs computers at Eastern Connecticut State University, and by night, he repairs and installs computers at his home in Mansfield, Connecticut.
Thomas Maynard has a hearty love for coffee, beer, poutine, and a good science fiction story.
Therese Masotta– Editor, Social-Media Pirate, Co-founder
Therese is a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut with experience in public relations and creative writing. She is currently thru-hiking the Appalachian trail (you can read her ridiculous stories here). If she’s not on the trail, you can find her staring at the stars, covering rap songs on her guitar, or in the local library for hours. Her work can be found in Sidereal Magazine and Streetlight Press.
One day, Therese hopes to meet Dr. Pepper and go sky diving with the Dos Equis man despite her abhorrence for carbonated beverages.
